The Idah Forum Lokoja has expressed shock over the death of a former Chairman of Ibaji Local Government of Kogi State, Hon. Manasseh Emmanuel Egwuaba.
Briefing newsmen after the group’s meeting at Karomsi Hotel in Lokoja on Sunday, the President, Hon. Dominic Omale said the group got the information on Egwuaba’s demise during her meeting.
Flanked by the group’s Secretary, Hon. Udale Adaji and PRO, Hon. Adejo Ameadaji, the President said Egwuaba’s death is a great loss to Idah Federal constituency.
“The news of Hon. Emmanuel Egwuaba came to us as a rude shock but we are consoled by his contributions to the community. We send our condolences to his family, the good people of Ibaji and the entire Idah federal constituency,” he said.
Omale called on upcoming political leaders to emulate the late Egwuaba who he described as a people-oriented leader.
Egwuaba was a two time Chairman of Ibaji Local Government who served as a commissioner and a board member in the state.
The Idah Forum Lokoja is an advocacy group of youths from Idah Federal constituency.
