ICT Study Scholarship for 15 Kogi Students: Dividends of Hon Shaba Ibrahim’s Relationship With Vietnam

The relentless efforts of the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Multilateral Cooperation, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim, to foster a robust and win-win relationship between Kogi State government and Vietnamese government is yielding positive results already.

It will be recalled that Hon. Shaba, using his office, brought Vietnamese ambassador and investors to Kogi State some months ago. The visit was aimed at leveraging on Vietnam’s expertise in rice production, information and communications technology (ICT).

15 students of Kogi state origin have been offered Scholarship to run a three-year degree programme on International Software Engineering at FPT University Hanoi in Vietnam.

The Scholarship Scheme is under the partnership arrangement between the Kogi state Government and the Vietnam government.

The programme is to enable the benefiting students improve on their education and integrity.

In his farewell message, Governor Idris Wada charged the students to be good Ambassadors of the state and Nigeria at large while in Vietnam.

He also urged the students to consider their meritorious selection to study in one of the leading University in Vietnam a rare privilege and opportunity as Captain Wada advised them to justify government huge investment on them through excellence performance.

He also appealed to them to take their studies serious and be law abiding.

The Kogi State Governor described the scholarship scheme as a deserving investment and expressed the hope that the students would be of great assistance in contributing to the development of the state on completion of their training.
