Arrangements have been concluded by the Abuja District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) to honour immediate past Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Dr Philip Salawu.
Also to be honoured is Dr Ngozi Olijeme, the chairman, National Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and Trust Fund Pension. The chairman of the Abuja District Society of the institute, Alhaji Shehu Aladire, said the award is being given in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the development of employee compensation scheme and pension management in Nigeria.
Other recipients of the district award include Mr Jonah Oguniyi, Accountant General of the Federation, Mr Samuel Ukura, Auditor General of the Federation, Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim, Managing Director of NDIC and Tunde Abdulkareem, Accountant General of Kwara State.
A statement from Fred Okonta, a fellow of the institute and immediate past chairman of the District Society said the event promises to be a blend of glamour, networking and entertainment.
