I Tried My Best to Avoid Violence During Ebe Festival, But… – Ajoge Enesi

As the murder of not less than two persons in Adavi Local Government area has continued to raise dust amongst people, the Administrator of the local government, Enesi Ajoge said he had tried his best to avoid violence.

Ajoge stated this when he received a state government fact-finding delegation led by the Commissioner of Works, Abdulmumin Sadiq on what has been described as abominable in the land.

Recall that a masquerader was shot dead alongside two people on Saturday 17th February, 2018 at Inoziomi Quarters, in the Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State

Mr Emmanuel Akobe and the others  were reportedly shot on Saturday during the Ebe Festival, a traditional celebration in Ebiraland.
The council boss who condemned the act, said that he tried his very best to see that the Ebe-festival was violent free.
Meanwhile, he assured that investigations have commenced and will ensure that the perpetrators of the crime are brought to book.
On his part, the Commissioner of Works cautioned expressed bitterness on the sad occurrence, cautioning those privileged to to hold position of authority to be careful in dealing with the subjects.

He also stressed that leadership is not a tool to intimidate others, adding that power is as transient as life itself.

However, the Commissioner commended Ajoge for the diplomacy employed in avoiding an aftermath crisis.
