I Have Contributed My Quota To Kogi’s Development – Ibro

The former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has stated that he has contributed his quota to the development of the state as governor, saying that others could vie for elective positions as well.

He said the choice of candidate for senatorial position largely rests on the shoulders of the people, who will decide on who can deliver the dividends of democracy.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, who was speaking at the maiden Ibaji Day in Lokoja on Saturday, where he, along with 31 others were conferred with awards, however, noted that if the people had considered his contribution worthy enough to call him for the Senate, he would need to consult.

He averred that politics is about service to the people who find anyone worthy to represent them, and urged  those in the position to uplift others not to hesitate to do so.

The former governor, who appreciated the award of recognition by Ibaji people, maintained that he would always see the esteemed award as a call for more service to humanity.
