The 12th Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole was received in a grand style by his constituents as he pays a ‘Thank You’ visit to Kabba-Bunu.
Kolawole was received at the palace of Obadofin of Owe land by all royal fathers of Kabba-Bunu local government.
“I want to start my journey from this palace, because from this same palace I got the blessings of my fathers which brought me to where I am today. I am back here to take your prayers so as not to fail as the number three citizen of Kogi State. With your prayers, advises and support, I am confident that I will not fail.
“We are having it so good, and we have never had it this good in Kabba-Bunu Local Government.
“All we do in the House of Assembly is to legislate, you can always advise me on areas to legislate upon and we will work on it.
“I need your support, if I fail, you fail. I am the Speaker today because you sent me to represent you at the House of Assembly.
“Let us look at what we are benefiting from the government of today. College of Technical, Kabba has gained lots of attention from the State Government as the Governor has approved so many facilities to be worked upon there.
“All I need is your support, prayers and advises”, he said.
The royal fathers, in unison, prayed for the new Speaker and assure him of their support. They also prayed for the government of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and pledge their support throughout his tenure and the second tenure.
