The member representing Lokoja 2 Constituency, Hon Idris Ndako said he is in politics to serve not to acquire wealth.
Hon Ndako made the declaration when he received members of Motorcycle Riders Association Lokoja at his Felele residence.
He commended the leadership and members of the union under Comrade Gimba Ibrahim, adding that he will remain grateful to the union for their support. The elated lawmaker assured them of his readiness to partner with them.
“I recall the role you played during my electioneering campaign in 2015, I want to use this medium to assure you of my determination to partner with you.
“I am aware of the challenges facing your union because I am part of you. When a bill was presented before the Kogi State House Assembly, I and other members stood firm and supported the union,” he said.
Ndako promised to include the union in his empowerment program.
Earlier, leader of the delegation and State Chairman of Motorcycle Riders Association in Kogi State, Comrade Gimba Ibrahim said they were in Ndako’s residence to congratulate him for the achievements he recorded within a short time.
Comrade Gimba who double as Lokoja Local Chapter Chairman of the union extolled the the leadership qualities of the lawmaker.
“On behalf of the entire members of the Union we want to say thank you for making our roads accessible and conducive for my members to operate, especially Irimi-Jakura-Felele-Obajana and Jamata-Owara roads.
“As a non-partisan organization, let me assure of our readiness to support your cause anytime you call on us”, he added.
Members of the union from the five wards that constitute the constituents who spoke at the event commended Hon Ndako and promised to support him.
