The palace of the Oniru of Iru Land in Victoria Island of Lagos State on Sunday 17th of June, 2018 played host to one of the prominent daughters of Okun Land in the West Senatorial District of Kogi State, the Aare Yeye Oge of Yoruba Land and the Yeye Oge of Okun Land, Aare Yeye Omoleye Aiyelabowo.
Her visit which was one of her solidarity moves to canvass support for her quest to uphold the role of women in Yoruba Land as it were in the past, this she stated she was determined to achieve.
Receiving Yeye Omoleye Aiyelabowo and her team was the Oniru of Iruland, Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru, flanked by the Crowned Prince and an array of several high ranking Chiefs and Palace Staff. Oba Oniru while welcoming the Yeye, spoke about how delighted he was to hear the mission of Aare Yeye and her team to his Palace. Oba Oniru said the Palace has embraced the Aare Yeye Oge and her agenda for the Yoruba women across the globe.
Yeye Aiyelabowo’s visit gave room to also discuss her plans for the unity of the Yoruba race all over the world. She also presented a beautiful gift hand made from Kogi to the Oniru of Iruland.
Oba Oniru did not let his guests return without releasing series of blessings and prayers to enable the Yeyes achieve resounding success.
The Yeye Oge of Lagos, Yeye Sherifat Kosoko who took the lead introduction of Aare Yeye Oge to the Palace was also in the entrouge of Aare Yeye Omoleye Aiyelabowo. Others are the Director General, Yeye Kias, Hon. Aiyelabowo Adebanji Austin, the Publisher Metropolis Magazine, Mr. Johnson Adegboyega, the Head of Yeye Kias Media Team Mr. Charles Osagie were present amongst others especially who came to throw weight behind the Yeye Oge of Lagos.
