Hospitality Mogul, Aliyu Badaki Reelected National President of Iyara Development Association

Alh. Aliyu Badaki has been reelected as the National President of Iyara Development Association (IDA), a prominent socio-cultural group in Ijumu local government area of Kogi state.

Alh. Badaki, a hospitality specialist, was returned unopposed at the Annual General Conference of the association held at the Iyara Town Hall on 26th December 2023.

Also reelected are: a community leader, Mr. Olorunfemi Emmanuel, Vice President; Mall. Sikiru Olorunlogbon, Secretary General; Mrs. Aina Roseline Apeke, National Treasurer; Olorunleke David Ajayi, Financial Secretary; Mrs. Obafemi Margret Taiwo and Dimeji Oshagbemi as Social Secretary Female and Male respectively.

Elected IDA officials taking oath of office

While a Lokoja based Journalist, Emmanuel Oluwakorede was elected unopposed as National Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alemeru Babatunde Paul defeated Ipinmiroti T.J by 18 votes to win as the Assistant Secretary General.

In his acceptance speech, the reelected IDA National President, Alh. Aliyu Badaki, described his reelection as a reward for hard work and recognition of his modest achievements in the last 3 years.

“As you succeed, more responsibilities will come. It is not easy to serve your community but there’s nothing you can do, than to give back to the society,” he said.

Alh. Badaki promised, on behalf of the Executive, to perform their duties in honesty, dedication and all seriousness.
