A GREAT KOGI PATRIOT HAS DEPARTED — HIS LEGACY REMAINS
It is with a profound sense of grief and deep sadness that I, Hon. Victor Ojogbane Uchola Omale, received the news of the passing of our former Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, popularly known as “Ibro.”
The death of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris is a painful loss to his immediate family, the people of Kogi State, and Nigeria at large. His departure marks the end of an important chapter in the political and developmental history of our dear state.
As a former Governor who served Kogi State for several years, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris occupied a significant place in the political journey of our state. His years in public service remain part of Kogi’s history, and his contributions to governance, infrastructure and the development of the state will continue to be remembered.
Today, politics is momentarily put aside. Today, Kogi mourns. Today, we remember a son of the soil who dedicated a significant part of his life to public service.
On behalf of my family, political associates, supporters and the good people of Idah Federal Constituency, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Idris family, his friends, associates, political followers and the entire people of Kogi State.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family and all of us the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
Alhaji Ibrahim Idris “Ibro” may have departed this world, but the memories of his years of service will remain embedded in the history of Kogi State.
