A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Hon. Rufus Obafemi, has appealed to a former Chairman of Ijumu local government council, Chief Fehinti Dada to return to the ruling party.

Hon. Rufus made the appeal during the burial reception of Late Olori Julianah Ayodele Fagbemi in Ekinrin-Adde.

Speaking passionately at the event, Hon Rufus emphasized the inclusive governance style of Governor Ododo’s administration, which prioritizes education, health, security, human development and stomach infrastructure.

“I want to urge you to come back to your former party and support the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo. The state is in need of your experience and dedication to propel its growth and development,” Hon Rufus said.

In his response, the former Council Boss lauded the achievements of Governor Ododo’s administration, particularly commending the prompt payment of civil servant’s salaries, enhanced security, and initiatives focused on stomach infrastructure.

“I appreciate the progress made by His Excellency and acknowledge the positive impact of his policies. I pledge my support towards advancing the agenda of development and prosperity for our people,” the former Chairman affirmed.

Hon. Rufus, a close aide of the State Commissioner for Education, said the call for unity and collaboration to support Governor Ododo’s vision for Kogi State underscores the importance of working together for the betterment of all citizens.
