Member representing Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna IJN, has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected Chairmen of Dekina and Bassa Local Government Areas, Hon. John Urah Ikani and Hon. Theophilus Adama respectively.
He also congratulated the 22 Ward Councilors across the constituency.
In a statement on Sunday, Hon. Paul expressed immense joy at the outcome of the elections, noting that the victory of these dedicated individuals is a testament to the trust and confidence placed in them by the good people of Bassa and Dekina LGAs.
He emphasized that this trust comes with the enormous responsibility of ensuring effective governance and delivering on promises made during the electoral campaigns.
Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna highlighted that the constituency is at a critical juncture where leadership at the grassroots level is essential to achieving the desired socio-economic development. He called on the newly elected officials to prioritize the welfare of the people, provide inclusive governance, and ensure that their leadership fosters peace, unity, and development.
He said to have no doubt that Hon. John Urah Ikani of Dekina and Hon. Theophilus Adama of Bassa, together with all the 22 Ward Councillors, are more than capable of steering their respective areas towards greater progress. He prayed that their leadership translate into sustainable development and improved standards of living for the constituents.
He further reassured the new leaders of his unwavering support, pledging to collaborate with them in addressing key issues such as education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment across the constituency.
