Hon Mathew James Condoles Okodu’s Family

Okehi Local Government Secretary, Hon. Mathew James Omeiza, has condoled with the family of late “anuva” drummer over the deceased untimely death.

Okudu, as popularly called, is a veteran local drummer in Kogi central. He died in the late hours of Tuesday following a brief illness

In a statement issued by the office of the Okehi Local Government secretary, Hon. Mathew described the deceased as a perfect gentleman who takes pride in what he does.

“Okudu has played a pivotal role in the sustenance of our cultural value, he has made an indelible mark in the heart of every sons and daughters of Ebiraland through his craft.

“I offer my condolences on behalf of the caretaker Chairman of Okehi Local Government Hon Monday Amoka Eneji (Odu) to his immediate family, Egiri Clan in Okaito, the good people of Eika district as well as the entire people of Ebiraland over the devastating demise of our brother and legend,” he said.

The secretary prayed for the repose of the soul of late Okudu and for Almighty God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
