A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kogi state, Hon Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim on Friday declared intention to join the house of representatives race of Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala federal constituency as Ankpa went agog with cheers, ovation, solidarity and mass support for their own.
While declaring his interest at the local government party Secretariat in Ankpa, Hon Halims said his aspiration is aimed at liberating the area from poor representation and socioeconomic backwardness if elected to be the party’s candidate as well as the people’s representative at the National Assembly.
The reps aspirant who is a former chairman of Kogi state water board and current Kogi state Elders advisory committee chairman of Ankpa federal constituency further noted that he is vying for the political seat because he has the charisma, qualities, credentials and experience to deliver the people from political alienation as presently witnessed in the area.
Political heavy weights present were among others the zonal Chairman(East) of the All Progressives Congress, Hon Ahmed Attah, Kogi East Chairman of Elders Advisory Committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Linco Ocheje, Ankpa Local Government Administrator, Hon Mohammed Ibrahim and the local government APC Chairman, Hon Abdullahi Zakari.
Others were the Kogi State Commissioner for Environment, Hon Senusi Usman, Hon Ahmed Mohammed of Ankpa 1 State Constituency, Hon Moses Edoko Ododo of Dekina/Biraidu Constituency, Administrators of Olamaboro and Omala local government areas, aspirants from Dekina and Idah federal constituency, party chieftains and supports across the federal constituency and Kogi East extractions.
Earlier in his declaration speech at the well attended event which attracted party stalwarts and state hierarchy, Hon Halims regretted the extinctions of good governance, good health, good roads, adequate water supply, youth/women independence, quality education system as well national recognition vowing to reenact them when elected.
Hon Halims who is a former member of Ankpa 1 constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly identified “restoring leadership adequately equipped with comprehensive and practical stewardship that will positively impact on the good people of Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro federal constituency through efficient legislation for a leading voice, socioeconomic and physical development” as his mission statement.
