Hon Benjamin Ikani Okolo is presently representing Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, until his present office he was Chairman Dekina Local Government Area. He uses his position diligently to improved on rural electrification, sinking of boreholes and grading of roads as if that was not enough reasonable numbers of youth were empowered and most of them are making it till this moment. This singular opportunity gave him an edge over other aspirants with the money bag during the closed contest for his current position.
On his assumption as House of Representative member, he started with legal tussle both inter and intra parties crisis for months but at the end he came out victoriously, though the unfortunate scenario after then was his support for party decision on the choice of the leadership of House of Representative against the integrity groups, the advance effect is that juicy committee always eludes such members and he is a victim.
In his two years of service at the National Assembly he was able to embarked on free medical services for the people of his constituency, he registered over hundreds of students for Senior Secondary School, hundreds of students for JAMB. A lot were empowered with Motorcycle, Sewing machines, tricycle and other items. He sponsored bill and contributed to several motions of urgent important.
In Dekina/Bassa Politics Hon BIO is not a pushover, he understand grass root Politics and the masses more than his contemporaries. I want to say without fear or favor that BIO did not have governorship ambition not even in 2019 anyone spreading such rumor is an imagination of fringent minds. Such people are enemy to our peaceful political coexistence most especially now that he is already into consultation with top political notchers of other parties.
Hon BIO decision is born out of his own volition i advise everyone to respect other people opinions despite our political affiliations. BIO is a human being, he is bound to make mistakes in the process of his political revolution but then such mistake is not enough to be malign, humiliated and intimidated by the people and the party he hold dearly.
It is only God that gives power to whom ever He wishes, if BIO is destined to continue his office as House of Representative member for Dekina/Bassa comes 2019 no any plot by any man or group can stop the will of God. Let us stop playing the role of God in peoples life. Remember the bigger battle is ahead not Dekina/Bassa please be wise united we stand.
