Member representing Ankpa I State Constituency and the Deputy majority leader of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed felicitates with the New Direction government led Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello on its third year anniversary.
The Deputy Majority Leader thank His Excellency for his giant strides in infrastructural development, security of lives and property in the state, education, traditional institutions and reforms in other sectors which he has scored a pass mark. Not to forget, is the construction of Ankpa township road which the government promised to complete before February 2019 and today, it is history.
Hon. Ahmed Ahmed assures the people of Kogi State not to loose hope in the policies of the government as success will be achieved collectively.
His words; “Kogi State today may not have been where we want to be but within the short time, the government has made appreciable progress and with collective support we can do more. All we need to do is to strengthen our unity as one people with one mission and purpose.
“As legislators we will continue to do our part to wit; provide the needed legislative framework for the executive arm of government to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people.”
He said with the elections scheduled for February 2019, all political parties candidates, supporters and leaders must avoid acts that could heat up the polity.
According to him, “What is of paramount importance now is for political office holders and candidates to approach elections with the intentions to play by the rules.
He also called on Kogites ahead of the February 16th and March 2nd general elections to vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC), noting that the party remain the only platform that mean well for both the state and country at large.
