The member representing Ankpa 1 state constituency and the Deputy majority leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Ahmed Mohammed called on Igala sons and daughters to join him in spreading the word of peace across the local governments in the state.
He disclosed this at the celebration of “Igala Day” organised by Igala Students association, Nasarawa state university Keffi. He said one of the benefits of celebrating a day like this is to bring igalas together to help create a synergy and unity amongst themselves.
Hon. Ahmed Ahmed hinted that the youths constitute the largest in the state and they play very important role. Dialogue is best option for any crisis.
“The youths are the leaders of tomorrow, we should be hardworking, and emulate those men and women of integrity in the society.
“We are brothers. We should be able to live together as one big family. We should not allow political differences to separate us. The youths should avoid any form of violence and believe in themselves rather than being used for ulterior motives”.
I strongly advise you all to take your academics serious. This is the tool a brighter future and can reduce risky and deviant behaviours that correlate with youth violence such as criminal activity, drug use, teenage pregnancy, and political violence in the state.
He was honoured by the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) as the “Best Performing state legislator” for his positive contribution on the floor of the house, and also awarded as “Most outstanding state legislator” by Igala Students Association.
