The Chairman Senate C’ttee on FCT, and Kogi West Senator, Otunba Dino Melaye has joined millions of Nigerians and all over the world to congratulate Muslims in Kogi State and Nigeria in general as they commence another season of Ramadan.
Sen Dino Melaye, in his goodwill message, said Ramadan season offered all Muslim faithful the unique opportunity to move closer to the Almighty Allah and deepen the relationship with him in complete submission to his will.
Melaye emphasised that fasting increases devotion, and brings a Muslim closer to the Creator and that It creates the recognition that everything we have in this life is a blessing from Him.
He equally states that Ramadan teaches self-control or -restraint, and thereby, good manners, good speech, and good habits.
He, therefore, urged Muslim faithful to use this period to pray for peace, progress development and sanctity of our dear State and the country as a whole.
Sen Melaye said we must all be grateful to Allah for being alive to witness another Ramadan season. It is important to seek the face of Allah for peace, progress and development of our country.
