A Certificate of Credence and Award for Excellence have been conferred on Dr. Usman Zakari, the Chief Medical Director of the Kogi State Hospitals Management Board for his efforts in providing care and support to Children living with HIV.
The Award was conferred by the Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative, a Non Governmental Organization committed to providing care And support to children living with HIV in Kogi State.
In his keynote address, the Chairman Board of Trustees of the Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative, Dr. Sam Keddy Balogun said the award and decoration was in recognition of the selfless service and altruistic deeds of the Chief Medical Director to indigent persons and people living with HIV in the state.
The Executive Director of the Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative, Mrs. Roseline Alabi described the Chief Medical Director as an astute leader, effective leader who has shown diligence in the course of his duties as State Team Lead, Management Sciences for Health and State Program Manager, Center for Integrated Health Programs.
Mrs. Alabi further extolled the virtues of the Chief Medical Director, describing him as efficient, competent And credible, adding that the appointment as chief Medical Director by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is commendable.
Responding, Dr. Zakari Usman expressed his appreciation to God For the opportunity to serve the people, he encouraged the people of Kogi State to imbibe the spirit of selflessness.
Expressing his appreciation to Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative, Dr. Zakari revealed that the award was a challenge to do all in his power to effect change, he added that the award was a reminder to never forget the things that matter to the people.
