Founder of HipTV, Ayo Animashaun, has endorsed the upcoming Kogi International Carnival.
The excited entertainment mogul endorsed the event scheduled to take place from December 1 to 7 this year during a recent courtesy visit by the organisers to his office.
Animashaun described Kogi International Carnival as a fantastic initiative that highlights the cultural richness of Nigeria.
“It is a wonderful platform to promote unity, tourism, and empowerment within our local communities, and I believe it will leave a lasting impact on both participants and visitors.
“It’s an excellent opportunity for people to not only enjoy the festivities but to also gain valuable insights into various fields like art, music, and business,” Animashaun added.
One of the organizers, Prince Philip Orebiyi explained that the carnival, themed “Come, Experience, Explore and Invest in the Confluence State,” promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Nigerian culture, music, art, and entertainment.
Orebiyi said one of the event’s primary objectives is to foster cultural exchange and promote tourism while empowering local communities through various activities, including performances by renowned local and international artists.
“It will serve as a vibrant platform to showcase the diversity and creativity of the people of Kogi State and the wider Nigerian community.
“The carnival will also feature cultural exhibitions, traditional dance displays, and a food festival that celebrates both local and international cuisine, offering something for every taste.
“Another major highlight of the Kogi International Carnival will be the fashion show, where Nigerian and African designers will showcase their most exquisite collections, celebrating the rich fashion heritage of the continent.
“The carnival parade will be a spectacle to behold, featuring elaborate costumes, vibrant floats, and a display of the state’s cultural diversity.
“Workshops and master classes will be held throughout the event, focusing on art, music, and entrepreneurship. These sessions will provide a platform for both budding and established artists to learn from experts, network, and enhance their skills.
“Special guests at the event will include renowned musicians and performers, as well as international dignitaries, cultural ambassadors, local and national government officials, and economic investors. Their presence will further elevate the event and help draw attention to Kogi State as a hub for cultural exchange and investment opportunities,” he said.
The Kogi International Carnival will take place across Lokoja, Kabba, Okene, and Anyigba in Kogi State, offering a unique chance for people from all over Nigeria and beyond to experience the beauty and culture of the region. With free entry for children under 12, the event is expected to draw a wide range of attendees, making it an inclusive and accessible celebration.
