The Kogi socio-political group, Project Save Kogi (PSK) has described fresh herdsmen attack on two communities in Ilu-Ajo, Kogi West which left 10 dead and scores wounded as barbaric and unacceptable.
In a statement by the Project’s spokesman, Samson Atek’ojo Usman,  he explained that the invasion of Fulani herdsmen at the wee hours on Monday, was uncalled for particularly as it the attacks occurred on weekly basis now.

He wondered how a slight misunderstanding over alleged loss of honey belonging to a Fulani man culminated into a deadly attack.

“We are at a loss over a complaint by a Fulani man who alleged that his honey was stolen.  A resident he accused denied and the next thing was attack on the community the following morning’, Usman said.
They accused the Sole Administrator of Ijumu LGA, Alhaji Taofik Isah of complicity, for giving out contrary figures of those killed, adding that he was being economical with the truth.
The group warned politicians in the state to stop playing politics with human lives, noting that spate of attacks in the state has not abated yet.
