Member representing Ankpa 1 state constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Ahmed Mohammed has condemned the killings in Oganè-nigwu and Omala local government in Kogi State by suspected herdsmen.
Speaking to pressmen on Saturday, the Deputy Majority Leader called on the security agencies to beef up security in areas where the killing is ongoing.
“Every life is valuable either within or outside the state. No life should be lost as a result of violence. I sympathize with the people of Dekina and Omala LGA and I must appreciate immediate response of the Kogi State government by ensuring that full security machineries are deployed to those areas. I am hopeful that, with this measures such attacks will be nipped in the bud,” he said.
He condoled with the families of the victims and appealed to members of the affected communities to keep the peace and rest assured that the culprits will be apprehended and that justice will be served.
