The race to Lugard House is becoming more and more intriguing but one thing is certain, the honourable Ebiras will decide who occupy the Lugard House!

The two leading contenders, Audu and Wada are both from the Igalaland in the East and funnily, both have picked their running mates from Okunland in the West.

Igalas will split their votes largely between Audu and Wada. Okuns will queue behind a single party come December 3. Campaigns are picking up gradually and in a matter of days we will know who among these two contenders will have upper hand in Igalaland and Okunland. The only zone that is ‘free for all’ at the moment is Ebiraland.

While the two top countenders, Audu and Wada, boasts of large followership in Ebiraland, it must be stated that a large percentage of Ebiras are independent voters.

The Ebiras are known to be irrepressible, self-opinionated and not given to sycophancy. This makes the race open between the top contenders.

It will not be a surprise if the larger percentage of Ebiras chooses to vote for their son, Itopa, who is the governorship candidate of SDMP.

Whichever way it goes Ebiras will decide finally between the two who they feel is the better candidate.
