Halima Wada Commissions 2 Boreholes in Adavi LGA

Wife of Kogi Governor Hajia Halima Wada commissioned two boreholes in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

She commissioned the two boreholes in Aku community and Osara general hospital respectively on Tuesday in Adavi local government area of the state.

She said at the occasion that the project will no doubt enhance good health for the people of the community especially women and children, stating that the project is part of her pet project Kogi Women Empowerment Network (KOWEN), urging the women to work towards the success and development of KOWEN’S objectives.

She enjoins the people of that community to protect the project to ensure its proper utilization and promised that similar project will cut across other local government area in the state.

She commended the commissioner of water resources Bar. Hadiza Onotu; for her contribution and support to Kogi Women Empowerment Network (KOWEN), and urges women in political appointments to emulate her.

She stated that the state Government is not relenting in her effort to providing social amenities to the people in the state and commended the governor Capt. Idris Wada for his support to the women in the state.

Speaking at the occasion the commissioner of water resources, Bar. Hadiza Onotu said the importance of water to human existence cannot be over emphasized and that the people of Aku and Osara community will eternally be grateful to the first lady of the state for executing such project in their community.

In an address by the chairman Adavi Local Government council Alhaji Saliu Adaviriku appreciated the governor Capt. Idriss Wada for his transformational agenda towards infrastructure and human development in the state.

He commended the governor’s wife for fulfilling her promise to the people of his community in ameliorating water problem and urges the people of Aku and Osara community to make use of the facility judiciously and protect it from vandalization.

In an address by the community head Alhaji Saliu Oyinoyi thanked the first lady of the state and appealed that she provide transformer to the community so as to boost the economic activities of the area.
