It is very important to bring to the notice of the Kogites and Nigerians in general that the just concluded or rather the concocted screening of aspirants by Kogi East Elders Council (KEEC) screening committee is unacceptable and negates political party’s process of selection of candidates.

Meanwhile, I wish to state that the composition of the committee members, which was not clearly stated, is highly questionable and lacks the locos  standi to provide leadership for Kogi East and in fact Kogi State as this Council have never been involved in any form of struggle to speak out in the ongoing tyrannical rule of Governor Yahaya Bello who has subjected workers in the state to untold hardship.

On the other hand, there is no clear indication of any link be it direct or indirect between the political parties and the so called screening. It is time we realize the reality of an attempt to mortgage the Igala struggle by a few individuals who had always docked whenever there was need to rise for the Igala kingdom; without much perambulation. I wish to make it categorically clear that the outcome of that committee’s screening and its whole process is unacceptable to the entire Kogi people and Kogi East in particular.

I therefore encourage all aspirants who are genuinely keen at providing quality leadership to Kogi people to brace up for primary election of their respective political parties. I rest my case.
