A Kogi State indigenous group, Kabba Development Union (KDU), has called for the inauguration of Rep James Faleke as the governor of the state.

The group, which said it will not be part of any celebration if its call was not accepted, urged relevant authorities to swear in Faleke, who was running mate to the late governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Abubakar Audu.

National Vice President and President KDU Lagos Chapter, Princess Oladepo Grace Omonale, made the call during the New Year Get-Together, organized by the Lagos Chapter of the group.
According to her, “KDU is never part of the forthcoming January 27 swearing in except our son, Faleke, is going to be sworn in.
“The loss of Audu to the cold hands of death is very painful and unfortunate. But in the absence of Audu, Faleke becomes accountable.
“It is therefore logical to declare Faleke the governor-elect and swear him in for the actualization of the Audu/Faleke electoral promises,” she said.
