A socio-cultural group, Iyara Development Association (IDA) has expressed appreciation to the immediate past Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi for the ongoing construction of 3 blocks of classroom for Iyara Community High School.
This is coming just few days after the Principal of the college made a passionate appeal during the Annual General Conference of IDA for stakeholders in the community to come to the aid of the School that had lacked classrooms despite its increasing population.
The Senator, upon hearing the plight of the school through the IDA National President, Alh. Aliyu Badaki, promised to do something immediately.
He thereafter directed his engineer to visit the school and work has already commenced in earnest.
Speaking during a visit to the project site, the National President of IDA described the Senator as a talk and do man, saying his contributions to Iyara are appreciated by all and sundry in the community.
Alh. Badaki expressed satisfaction with the work done so far, urging the contractor to carry out the job according to specification.
He enjoined the people of Iyara community to continue to pray for Senator Smart Adeyemi for good health and greater opportunity to enable him do more.
In his remarks, the Principal of the school, Mr. Ipinyomi Samuel said the college community is happy with the gesture of Senator Smart Adeyemi, describing it as a dream come true.
