Different Pro-Smart Adeyemi groups last Wednesday disputed claims by some hopeless youths of Senator Adeyemi’s rejection in Kabba Township Stadium on Tuesday as untrue, frivolous and a calculated attempt to bring the Senator down.
The leaders of the groups on Wednesday issued a statement through her spokesperson Comrade Alamoh Kehinde Samuel who also double as the coordinator of SSA Support Group warning members of the public to be wary of some certain group of people he described as faceless sycophants who are bent on sponsoring ignorant youths to cause disaffection and incite violence in Okunland.
“The truth of the matter is that some selected few who have been paid to make trouble were shouting and chanting to divert attention against our distinguished Senator but could not succeed as most of them were seen running after the Senator for peanuts”, he alleged.
The statement also explained the security implication of such acts, stating that the security of lives and properties is of concern to everyone but definitely not of concern to the miscreants, thugs and their sponsor.
“The event was a thank you tour of His Excellency and is not expected to be an avenue for hired miscreants to try to incite violence. I wish to clearly say that it takes the mercy of God, the intervention of Senator Smart Adeyemi and the security forces to stop a violent clash between these miscreants and the Senator supporters. There are better ways to address issues of dissatisfaction than trying to incite violence among the youths, its also a show of cowardice and irresponsibility for some people to hide behind the scene while using innocent youths to cause trouble.
“We wish to therefore call on all security agents to please be aware of such individuals who instead of channeling efforts towards building a formidable opposition at the polls hid behind the scene to incite violence among the youths.
“While we remain law abiding citizen who do not believe in violence as a means to an end we also wish to say that our support for Senator Smart Adeyemi continuation of the ongoing transformation in Okun land such as the ongoing Kabba township Stadium remain resolute and undaunted. We therefore call on all to avoid been used as thugs to perpetrate violent act, the statement said.
