The Executive Governor Kogi, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, says the political stability party members enjoy today in All Progressives Congress (APC) did not appear overnight as it was built through patience, sacrifice, and the commitment of those who refused to abandon the structure even when the winds were strong.

He said naturally, when a house becomes comfortable again, familiar faces begin to find their way back with greed and unrealistic interests.

He made the remark on Thursday during a meeting with Ajaokuta stakeholders.

Though brief but carries a deeper meaning for those willing to reflect.

He said “We stood our ground to strengthen the party. We reached out to all stakeholders, while some were moving from one place to another. Yet we fought hard to ensure the party emerged victorious and is now stable. That is why the All Progressives Congress remains the platform on which we all can contest and we all are benefiting from today.”

Those words may sound simple, but they quietly remind us that some people nurture a house while others only return when the roof is already fixed.

For stakeholders in Ajaokuta, the message is clear enough for those who care to read between the lines. Consistency builds credibility, while loyalty strengthens institutions.

As we continue to engage with Governor Ododo and his administration, especially considering the visible development taking place in our LGA, Ajaokuta, it is important that we project unity and maturity. After all, history tends to remember those who kept the fire burning, not only those who arrived when the warmth returned.

Let us therefore keep our focus on the bigger picture, the progress of our party, the unity of our stakeholders, and the development of Ajaokuta. In the end, the foundation of any strong house is always laid by those who stayed when it mattered most. Godbless our leaders.
