The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has distanced himself from the numerous fake social media accounts bearing his name and pictures.
In a press release signed by Fanwo Kingsley Olorunfemi, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bello stated that he has no Facebook nor Twitter account at the moment.
Since his emergence as All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Candidate, unscrupulous individuals have floated numerous fake social media accounts in the name of Governor Yahaya Bello to defraud the unsuspecting public.
However, Bello assured that as a tech-savvy leader he will deploy social media for information and social activities in his drive for a better Kogi State. He stated that official social media accounts will be made public when launched.
