Gov Yahaya Bello Congratulates Buhari, Says The Will of The People Has Prevailed

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has joined all Nigerians and friends of Nigeria to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election, and stressed that the outcome of the polls clearly shows that Nigerians across all divides are very much in support of his administration’s achievements in the last three and half years.

In a congratulatory letter personally signed by the governor, Governor Bello appreciated Nigerians for contributing to the smooth conduct of last Saturday’s polls, and urged them to remain patriotic and work towards the overall progress and development of the nation.

Governor Bello who said the peaceful manner by which Nigerians conducted themselves throughout the electioneering period was an indication that Nigerians are really interested in the quality and competence of those who govern them as leaders, admonished them to replicate same attitude in future elections.

While appreciating Nigerians for defying all odds to fully participate in last Saturday’s polls, Governor Bello expressed optimism that the next fours years under the watch and direction of President Buhari would be good and fruitful for every Nigerian.

“We are indeed happy and excited about the outcome of last Saturday’s polls. President Buhari’s emergence is an indication that Nigerians truly appreciate and support what he’s been able to achieve in the last three and half years as Nigeria’s leader. I wish to rejoice and wish him the very best as he prepares to consolidate on the achievements so far recorded across critically sectors of the economy since 2015.

“President Buhari has in a number of ways demonstrated his resolve to leave Nigeria far much better, glorious, prosperous and developed than he met it. This renewal of mandate offers him the opportunity to meaningfully tackle all the challenges facing us as people and nation. He needs our fervent support and prayers”.

Governor Bello wished the President well as he prepares for another phase of governance and also urged Nigerians to have faith in the country and shun divisive acts and practices capable of reversing the modest gains the county has so far recorded.

“Regardless of our political leanings, let’s work towards the growth and development of our dear country. This is the only country we have, let’s make it great”.
