Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on Industries and Productivity, Engr. David Oni Sunday, has expressed concerns over the share structure of Jakura Marbles Industry.
David Oni visited Jakura Marbles, a Lokoja-based company, on Monday as he commenced tour of industries in the state.
Speaking with newsmen after the visit, the Governor’s aide said in the course of his interaction with management staff of the company, he discovered that Kogi State government has no representative at the management board of the company.
He stated that Kwara State Government is solely represented, having the mining share which the Federal Government gives, simply because Kwara was the host state before the creation of Kogi State.
David Oni explained his was aimed at exploring ways in which the government could work with the firm to achieve efficiency and higher productivity.
He admonished the officials and workers of the establishment to ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environment (HSE) protocols.
