The multi million Naira magnificent mosque in Ajiyolo Ajikpome, Dekina local government area of Kogi state, will be commissioned on January 12.
This was made known by the organizers in an official statement on Tuesday.
Governor Yahaya Bello and the incoming Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo will be special guest and guest of honour respectively.
IAccording to the statement, the Sultan of Sokoto and the president general of Juma’atu Nasri Islam[JNI], Muhammed Abubakar Sa’ad III; Attah Igala and president Kogi State council of chiefs, Dr Mathew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa; Eje Dekina, Usman Obaje; Eje Ankpa, Alh Ahmed Yakubu; Ogohi Anyigba, Shaibu Okolo; Ejeh Ofu Alh. Akwu Obaje and Nda Paddy Usman, the Emakoji ata-Ajiolo Ajikpome would serve as spiritual and royal fathers of the day.
It further stated that the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf will chair the occasion, while the secretary general of Jumaatu Nasri Islam, Professor Khalid Aliyu Abubakar is the guest speaker and Alh Yakubu Yusuf Okala, Auditor General of Kogi State will be the chief host.
An illustrious son of the community and the present Auditor General of Kogi State, Alh Yakubu Yusuf Okala, having observed the need for the community to have a befitting worship centre that will enable the adherents of holy Prophet Mohammed [SWA] to propagate Allah’s works and draw people closer to their creator, initiated and financed the pro-people project to completion.
Meanwhile, the once serene Ajiolo Ajikpome community is currently a beehive of activities as it is now wearing a new look as the community puts finishing touches to the magnificent Mosque centre in preparation to receive and give a rousing welcome to the august visitors billed for the inauguration.
