Gov. Bello Charges Steering Committee to Help Civil Service Reforms

Governor Yahaya Bello has charged members of the Steering Committee on the screening exercise in the civil service to help in achieving the administration’s agenda to reform the public service in the state.

The Governor gave the charge while inaugurating the committee at the government house in Lokoja.

Governor Bello who noted that state has suffered under-development since its creation due to the monumental waste that resulted from revenue leakages urged members of the committee to assist the administration in weeding out ghost workers and ensuring that every worker in the state justify his or her wages.

Speaking onbehalf of the committee, the chairman of the Steering Committee, Retired General Paul Okutimo, promised that members will work to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor.

The Committee which has 30 days to complete its assignment is to work with a private company, Cyber Space, in carrying out the screening of civil servants in the state.
