…Everyone wants a good life but not so many people care about others’

This morning, I woke with a very light heart and a very heavy mind. My heart beats with ease but my mind is filled with a burden that is heavier than my carrying capacity. I am trapped in between intentions and limited will power. I really want to see a generation of excelling young people but I can’t outrightly empower my peers.

I have a very beautiful dream inspired by a strong vision birthed by an inspiration so strong that it will never die. I don’t know how frequently you cross examine your own world but almost everyday — I x-ray my world and whenever I do so; only two things border me. Impacts and sustainability. If you ever have the opportunity to help (especially young people), please do not hesitate.

Everyone wants a good life but not so many people care about others’ life when their’s is met and that’s where Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma comes in. Her path to prime is an epistle on its own but her magnanimity to many indigent graduates is a wonder.

HSB’s stardom didn’t fall to the internet era. Her reputable alms are not motivated by social media likes and shared urges. Her antecedents were not anchored on political anticipation. Her zeal for human development was not premised on building an enclave and all these are the testament of pure intention.

I stand to be corrected that there is no Igala, dead or alive that has sincerely and deliberately empowered people with a sustainable means (pensionable jobs) without recourse to kinship or lure like Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa. Today, I pray that Allah preserves you for greater trailblazing and raises more people to walk on your paths.

Barkallahu Feeki, Hajiya…
