The Edembe One of Gadumo, Mallam Yahaya Audu has expressed appreciation to government and traditional council in Ajaokuta Local Government for finding him fit to serve in that capacity.
Mallam Yahaya gave the gratitude in a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
He noted that the stool of Edembe One was meant to advance the course of development, noting that the traditional institution is meant to promote culture and tradition of the people.
According to the Edembe, the appointment was a greater call to service, thanking the Ajaokuta Local Government Chairman and other Chiefs for the trust in him and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for the approval.
Mallam Yahaya assured that he will live above board and ensure true representation of the traditional institution in Kogi State.
The Edembe appealed to the people of Gadumo to support him in order to meet the expectations of both government and the people.
