It has become imperative to make a statement at a time like this especially with the fallacies and unfounded allegations published in many online media outfit discrediting our highly revered Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi Durotimi.
The unfounded allegations that borders on sexual assaults and drunkenness though looks funny but one can attribute it to an attempt to distract the ever energetic VC, whom in his short time in the institution has changed the face of the citadel of learning positively.
As a legitimate and responsible students union body in the same Federal University Lokoja, we, Faculty of Science Students Association (FOSSA) give our unalloyed support to the VC in lifting the institution to the zenith.
We equally attest to the fact that our VC is a man of unquestionable character and should therefore be spared all the trouble and peddling of unguarded fake news as he carries out his duties as the VC.
We also felicitates with Prof. Akinwumi on his one year in office anniversary. As it is crystal clear to all sundry how you have advanced the University in all phases because of your results oriented administration.
We pray to God for a more sustainable development strides under your tenure as the Vice Chancellor. It is our prayer that all that started well with you will equally end in praises.
