FUL Political Science Dept Backs Prof Usman to Break New Grounds as PAAU Vice Chancellor

The Department of Political Science, Federal University Lokoja (FUL), has congratulated the Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, on his appointment, describing it as well-deserved and a source of pride to the Department.

Speaking during a courtesy visit on Monday, Head of Department, Professor Abraham Musa Peter, assured the Vice Chancellor of their continued prayers and support for his success in office.

Prof. Abraham encouraged the Vice Chancellor to sustain his record of excellence and continue to break new grounds as he demonstrated during his tenure as Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.

In a congratulatory message, the Department described Prof. Usman’s appointment as a significant milestone, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the University to greater heights.

The message read in part: “The Staff, Students, and Secretariat of the Department of Political Science, Federal University Lokoja, felicitate with you on your well-deserved appointment as Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.”

The Department also prayed for divine wisdom, good health and strength for the Vice-Chancellor to excel in the administration of the University, noting that he had continued to make them proud through his support and sacrifices toward shared academic goals.

In his response, Professor Usman appreciated members of the Department for the visit and their show of solidarity.

Professor Usman specifically praised Prof. Abraham Musa Peter, noting that as an alumnus of the institution, he had made the institution proud through his achievements and contributions.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of celebrating others, stating that “when you celebrate others, you are equally celebrating yourself.”

He further recalled that his career progression had been firmly rooted in teaching, research and community development.

Prof. Usman assured that he would continue to break new grounds in his academic and administrative journey, adding that his commitment to excellence would remain steadfast.

He described himself as an ambassador of the Department and pledged not to disappoint in the responsibilities entrusted to him.

He also reaffirmed his support for the advancement of the Department of Political Science, assuring that his doors would always remain open for collaboration and institutional development.
