Chairman Kogi United and Confluence Queens, Mallam Abdul Adama has the hailed the former president of Nigeria Football federation, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi for his consistent supports to developing grassroots football in Kogi State and expressed high hopes in the growth of the game in the state.
Mallam Adama who stated at this year’s final of FOSLA U13 Football Championship in Idah Local Government of Kogi State noted that the competition which has been solely sponsored by Alhaji Abdullahi has empowered the youth in the area.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of competitiveness put into play by the players just as he believed a competition of such nature would further shoot talents in the area into limelight.
The Former NFF boss and FCT Sports’ Director expressed gratitude to all who donated in various capacities for the successful organization of the championship and vowed to sustain his vision in developing grassroots football.
Idah Local Government emerged champions of 2015 edition after defeating their counterpart from Omala 2-0 at the final played at Qua Ibo Primary School field, Idah.
Winners, Idah Local Government Area (LGA) boys scored in both halves through Abdullahi Abubakar and James Sunday to nick victory on Thursday.

The champions smiled home with a giant trophy and cash award of N30,000, while runners-up Omala LGA boys went home with a silver-made trophy and N20,000.
