Former Kogi First Lady, Halima Wada Marks 60th Birthday With Fasting, Prayers

Immediate past Kogi State fir‎st lady, Mrs Halima Wada said her decision to dedicate her 60th birthday with fasting and prayers was to reflect the current challenges and the need for sober reflections at all times for Nigeria by Nigerians.
Mrs Wada disclosed this at her residence in Abuja during a low keyed prayer session to mark the occasion amidst prayers and supplication organised by the family.
According to her media consultant, Abubakar Yusuf, the entire family members, well wishers and supporters dedicated the day to the ‎special fasting and prayers to usher in more longevity to the former first lady of Kogi state and family.
The event attracted recitation of holy quaran by Moslem clerics who thronged the residence of the former governor to rejoice with the family on the special day.
Mrs Wada, known for her passion for philanthropic, humanitarian ‎ and life touching activities promised to re-dedicate the remaining part of her life into more venture that borders on human advancement, development and welfare.
Hajiya Wada, popularly known as ‘Mama KOWEN’‎, charged privileged Nigerians, public and private spirited individuals to redirect their lives into selfless service and provision of social infrastructure that will turn around the lives of average people in the society.
‎Mrs Wada thanked Kogi indigenes for the opportunity given to the former governor to deploy his wealth of experience in contributing his quota and service to the state, promising that he will do more in his future endeavours.
The former first lady and the husband, former governor Idris Wada were visibly happy as they exchanged banters and pleasantries with the large numbers of well wishers, friends who were in the residence to  rejoice with the family.
