The former Director General, Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Professor Armstrong Idachaba has launched six books to promote journalism practice in Nigeria.
The books were launched a 2-in-1 event held at Chida Hotel Abuja on Saturday to mark his 60th burthday anniversary.
Professor Armstrong Idachaba was prominent while holding forth at NBC, having fought #EndSARS protesters in Nigeria, Twitter ban, political hate speech and misinformation on COVID-19, the dreaded pandemic that shook the world to standstill with lockdown.
He ensured the code of ethics of NBC was strictly adhered to, inline with the tenets of the profession, devoid of sensationalism or instigation of the Nigeria public.
At the occasion, the former Director General, NBC, now a lecturer and visiting lecturer to many Nigerian universities, stated that his intentions to float the books was to assist journalists both practicing, learning and research opportunities to have indepth knowledge of the profession.
Idachaba, a play writer, scholar, dramatist, and publisher has a lot of plays to his credit, both as a director and contributor in many areas.
He directed the famous Ameh Oboni, a play produced about two decades away in honor of late Attah Igala, His Royal Majesty, Attah Ameh Oboni 1.
