An Ebira man, Prince Abdulkareem has advocated that the capital of Kogi State be moved to Kogi Central Central Senatorial district.

Abdulkareem, who aired his views on the most popular online group for Ebiras, Ebira Unity on Facebook, hinged his call on recent flood menace that has ravaged the state capital, Lokoja and sorrounding towns and villages.

“Lokoja is only good for fishing. It is suicide to live around river banks that has no protected barriers to sand fill the river banks to jack up the land to prevent this kind of deadly floodings that have claimed many lives, damaged properties worth billions of naira” he said.

“Move Kogi State Capital to Kogi Central. It is safer for its wonderful, naturally protected and fantastic geographical landscape”
