In a bold move to expand access to higher education, Dr Shehu S. I. Fikara, in partnership with the Kupa Development Association (KUDA), has launched the Fikara 50 Futures Project, an educational support initiative aimed at empowering brilliant but financially constrained youths in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Under the initiative, 50 academically gifted students will receive full sponsorship for their JAMB registration, with 10 candidates selected from each of Lokoja’s five Outside Wards—Kupa South, Kupa North, Kakanda, Eggan, and Oworo.

The project is designed to eliminate financial barriers that often prevent talented students from pursuing higher education, while investing directly in the long-term development of the community by nurturing its most valuable asset—its youth.

Speaking on the initiative, the organizers emphasized that the sponsorship goes beyond examination fees, describing it as a strategic investment in human capital and community transformation.

“This is more than funding a registration; it is about unlocking potential, restoring hope, and building a future driven by educated and empowered young people.”

Call to Action

• Youths: This is your opportunity. Prepare, apply, and rise to the challenge—excellence begins here.

Our Commitment
The Fikara 50 Futures Project is built on the principles of transparency, fairness, and impact, with a clear vision of turning 50 JAMB registrations into 50 university degrees and beyond.

The initiative was officially launched on Monday, February 2, 2026, in Lokoja, and will run throughout the official JAMB registration period.
