Director Funds, National Population Commission (NPC), Mr. Akinola Benjamin Fagbemi, FCNA, has been named the sole recipient of the 2023 Grand-Star Award of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA).
This category of award is the highest to be conferred by the EACDA on any individual.
The news of his nomination for the prestigious award was broken by Mr. Victor Adewale Adekanye, the association’s spokesperson.
Fagbemi, a chartered accountant by training, will receive the honour at the annual Ekinrin-Adde Day Celebrations on June 24, 2023.
Akinola Benjamin, who also holds a honorary Chieftaincy title of the Community, was born at Oke Ero Ekinrin-Adde in Ijumu LGA of Kogi State in the early sixties.
He attended Baptist High School Ekinrin Adde, Kaduna Polytechnic, Kwara State Polytechnic, Benue State University Markudi where he obtained his School Certificate, OND, HND and MBA respectively.
Akinola Fagbemi belongs to several professional bodies within Nigeria and abroad, including: Institute of cost Management Accountant (ICMA; Associate member, Institute of professional Forensic Accountants, Nigeria Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA) and Chartered institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
Others are: Fellow, Association of chartered system Accountant USA (fellow)FSCA and Fellow National Accountant of Nigeria FCNA
He attended dozens of Trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences both locally and internationally. With over two decade of work experience in the public service.
Fagbemi is currently Director funds at National Population Commission, and is happily married to Folake who is also a honorary Chieftaincy title holder and they are blessed with lovely Children.
The association’s spokesperson concluded that Fagbemi’s crosscutting impact on the Ekinrin-Adde Community is responsible for his being bestowed with this great honour.
