The attention of Kogi Youth Network within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a laughable and poorly constructed propaganda piece credited to a so-called “Equity and Justice, Adavi-Okehi Elders Council”, a faceless, unverifiable, and politically sponsored group clearly assembled for one purpose: to destabilize the party from within.
Let it be stated clearly and without equivocation: there is no credible, recognized, or respected bloc within Kogi Central known by that name. It exists only in the imagination of its authors and the desperate politicians hiding behind it. This is not an elders’ council; it is a shadowy pressure group of frustrated power seekers who have consistently failed to earn the trust of the people through legitimate political engagement.
The claim of an “imminent protest vote” is nothing more than empty noise, an exaggerated and fictional narrative designed to create a false sense of crisis where none exists. Kogi Central remains firmly aligned with the APC, and the people are neither divided nor deceived. They understand the difference between purposeful leadership and opportunistic agitation.

What this faceless group describes as “marginalization” is, in reality, a reflection of their own political irrelevance. Having failed to win elections, build grassroots support, or contribute meaningfully to party development, they have now resorted to blackmail, emotional manipulation, and divisive rhetoric as tools for attention.
Their reckless attempt to pitch local governments against one another, particularly the calculated targeting of Okene LGA, reveals their true agenda: to fracture the unity that has long been the strength of Kogi Central. This is politics driven by bitterness, not vision; by resentment, not responsibility.
The selective listing of political appointees is both shallow and misleading. Governance is not a game of numbers or regional tokenism; it is anchored on competence, loyalty, and the capacity to deliver results. Those currently serving across the 5 LGA in Kogi Central have earned their positions through dedication and proven ability, not through sectional agitation or entitlement.
Equally misleading is the attempt to romanticize the past while disregarding present realities. Political leadership evolves with time, and today’s governance requires strategic thinking, inclusiveness, and alignment with broader state and national objectives, not outdated formulas pushed by those trapped in nostalgia.
Let us be frank: the authors of this write-up are not champions of justice, they are agents of disunity. They do not speak for the people; they speak to advance narrow, self-serving interests. But the people of Kogi Central are politically conscious and cannot be misled by sensational claims or manufactured outrage.
The APC remains a disciplined, structured, and people-oriented party that rewards loyalty, hard work, and credibility. It is not a platform that succumbs to intimidation or propaganda. No amount of sponsored agitation can undermine its strength or unity.
Those hiding behind anonymous platforms and issuing veiled threats should step into the open, test their popularity through democratic means, and stop masquerading as defenders of equity. Democracy does not reward noise, it rewards genuine support.
The so-called “protest vote” will remain exactly what it is: a hollow slogan, promoted by faceless individuals with no structure, no credibility, and no meaningful support within the political landscape of Kogi Central.
