Ex-Kogi Gov. Lays Foundation of Anyigba Ultra-Modern Mosque

A former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, on Friday, laid the foundation of Anyigba ultramodern mosque.

Performing the foundation laying ceremony at Nurul Islam Primary School, Ojuwo, Anyigba, the site of the project, Idris appreciated Almighty Allah for giving him the means and ability to contribute from his wealth to the progress of Islam, particularly in Igalaland.
Speaking at the ceremony, Idris, who is also the sponsor of the project, disclosed to the public that he has carried out similar projects in Abejukolo and Idah.
According to him, Anyigba is not the first place he had intended to carry out this kind of project from his personal wealth but he saw in a dream the best of the mosques for Anyigba, his mother’s hometown.
The former governor assured the people of Anyigba that the project would be completed in a short time.
The Chief Imam of Anyigba, Alh. Musa Yahaya Imam, who led other clerics, prayed for protection, long life and more prosperity for the former governor.
The former Governor was accompanied with the former Secretary to the State, Alh. Musa Ahmodu, Alh. Usman Pele, and host of others.
