Evinemi Promises to Close Gap Between Kogi Govt, Civil Servants

Kogi State Head of Service, Mr. Elijah Evinemi has promised to use his new office to close the gap between government and civil servants in the state.

Evinemi made the promise at a reception organized in his honour by Committed of Friends in Lokoja.

Addressing the gathering, Evinemi noted that Governor Usman Ododo has mandated him to carry out some reforms that will make civil servants in the state happy.

He emphasized that the present administration has the interest of Kogi workers at heart.

Mr. Evinemi noted though he never envisaged the appointment but owes God and Governor Usman Ododo gratitude and appreciation.

The Head of Service, while soliciting the support of workers, emphasized the need for civil servants to be dedicated to duty.

Gathered at the Conference Hall of the office of the Kogi Head of Service are serving and retired Permanent Secretaries, Director General of Parastatals and Agencies including Radio Kogi, Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozovehe, family and and friends to celebrate the appointment of Mr. Elijah Evinemi as Head of Service.

In their remarks, the former Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Mr. Adeku Adava, acting Chairman of Forum of Permanent Secretaries, Mr. Teddy Adegbola and a Financial Expert, Mrs. Funke Eseyin congratulated the Head of Service on his elevation and expressed optimism that he will live up to expectations.

Chairman of the Committee of Friends, Mr. Babajide Samuel described the appointment of Mr. Evinemi as a right step in the right direction.
