Thank you Mr. Speaker for increasing the numbers of Bunu indigens on your staff list, but Okebukun and its axis is seriously lagging behind.
Following the past and recent appointment of the Speaker, Prince Mathew Kolawole’s aides, our attention has been drawn to continual neglect of Okebukun ward as one of his loyalist he can’t trust for appointment or tangible physical project.
From the list released non from Okebukun ward even when we see two or more appointee on the list from the other wards. We don’t know what has gone wrong that Okebukun ward is not in the good book of the Speaker, we can’t trace any tangible project to his name in Okebukun.
We don’t want to assume that the speaker has concluded the appointment without Okebukun ward been represented again. The Speaker has openly shown the hatred he has for Okebukun and her people but in the spirit of fairness, justice and equal representation Okebukun deserve at least a slot in Speaker cabinet that’s the true essence of democracy and her dividends should cut across every quota irrespective of individual perception.
We want to draw the attention of the honourable Speaker not to neglect Okebukun ward again as he has done in the time past. We have many APC loyalist who work tirelessly to the success of Speaker reelection and we also deserved the reward thereafter as we have seen every other ward represented on the list.
Our continual silence over the Speaker disposition to Okebukun is not helping. This outburst is as a reason of Speaker antecedent towards the people of Okebukun from inception of his administration till now. Okebukun has not benefitted from the Speaker and if any we stand to be corrected.
We hope that fairness, justice and equal representation guides Speaker decision, we plead that he listen to us and have the understanding that he represent the people that he likes, the people that he did not like, the good and the ugly, the bad and the worst of Kabba/Bunu at the State House of Assembly.
We pray God to guide you aright as you steer the ship of the Kogi State 7th Assembly.
