With few days to APC senatorial primary election, the front line aspirant in the primary, Honourable Yakubu Oseni has sent his heart warming message to the constituents in the area, his message titled ‘My fellow Constituents.’  Alhaji Oseni says:

“Fate has brought us to another crucial threshold in the history of Ebira Nation. We have been at this crossroads several times before. The consequences of the choices we made in the past are obvious for us to see today. Democracy is acclaimed as the best form of governance because it places in the hands of the people the power to choose who governs them. However, posterity beckons on us to exercise that enormous power with maximum discretion, bearing in mind that we can either be listed or further enslaved by our choices.

“I believe the legislature is the Bedrock of Democracy and provides an untapped opportunity to make a positive difference through people-centric legislation and effective oversight of the Executive arm of government which will engender the rule of law, prosperity, equity, justice, progress, peace and true nationalism.

“However, the enterprising and resourceful people of Kogi Central Senatorial District have not been well represented in the Legislature, especially in the Senate, in the recent time. This is unfair and a disservice to my people. It is against this backdrop that I, Alhaji Oseni Yakubu, humbly present myself for service to the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, for election into the Senate come 2019 general elections.”

He further promises to anchor his legislative duties on job creation/employment, educational development, women empowerment, and youth development.
