In a historic occasion today in Lokoja the Kogi State capital, the CEO Kogi Ambassadors Magazine, Mr. Alonge Femi Israel presented an Award of Excellency to Engr. Musa Wada as KOGI MAN OF THE YEAR 2013.
In his presentation speech, Comr. Israel says this is in recognition of Engr. Wada’s numerous contribution to his community, Local Government, Kogi State and Nigeria at large haven’t being an agent of change and a role model to youths of Kogi State. “Sir, I wish to state categorically that this award was not politically motivated nor for monetary gain but purely a well deserve award as your outstanding leadership qualities and humanitarian services in terms of education, employment and welfarerism of youths and the less privilege in Kogi State. On behalf of my crew, I sincerely wish to appreciate you for accepting this award and we charge you to continue to do more.”
Receiving the award, Engr. Musa Wada thanked the crew, Kogi Ambassadors Magazine saying saying, “Am Surprise and its very interesting receiving an award as Kogi Man of the Year 2013 from youths of Kogi State because, within me when I was contacted, I felt it’s like the normal award and I almost decline because I see whatever I’ve done, doing and will do as rendering service to humanity and not for public praise. I will also use this opportunity to advice and plea with Kogites to be patient with this present administration as it will be unwise to compare the economic situation in Kogi with Rivers, Lagos, Akwa Ibom etc. These states earn more revenue than Kogi State as this is even visible in this year’s budget presentation as the budget of River State is about 4X bigger than that of Kogi and so is the fund accruable to the states differs.”
He continued by saying, “the man (Capt. Idris Wada) who is in charge of the affairs of Kogi State is very meticulous in terms of money and he is doing all possible considering the resources available to ensure equity in the distribution of funds within the state. So I think, regardless of what people will say he is doing his best both human and material and given him more time, everything will come out more in the positive.
He also encourage the youths to look within and see what they can do for themselves while waiting for government jobs as to him, there is very little vacancies compared to numerous applicants.
Present at the occasion are members of Kogi State Executive Council, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, members of his immediate family, other awardees and many more.
